Trinity Hill

Trinity Hill is one of Hawkes Bay’s premier wineries. Conceptualized over a glass of Chardonnay in London in the late 1980’s, Trinity Hill became a reality in 1993 when the first vines were planted in the Gimblett Gravels subregion of Hawkes Bay.  The original 18 hectare vineyard, planted in 1993, has been supplemented with an additional 20 hectares in 2000.  The range of grapes grown between the two vineyards include: Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, and Syrah.

The iconic wine from Trinity Hills is the ‘Homage’ Syrah. Based on 3 cuttings from the renowned winemaker Gerard Jaboulet in the Northern Rhone, this superb wine is only produced in exceptional vintages. A complex blend of dark fruits, floral notes, anise and black pepper, savoury meaty notes and spicy oak. Its long finish and complexity deliver great power and immense subtlety, accessible at an early age, but guaranteed to develop in your cellar for years to come.
