Misha and Andy Wilkinson first established Misha’s Vineyard back in 2004. Having spent the last 16 years living in Asia, both Misha and Andy had found a true passion for wine and food. They loved the idea of producing wines that were suited to both Asian and Western food styles, while neither had a background in winemaking or viticulture, it did not slow them down. Today their dream has come true, Misha’s Vineyard currently produces Pinot Noir and a wide range of aromatic white wines, exports to over 17 different countries and has even been rated as one of the top 20 wine producers in New Zealand.
Misha’s current winemaker is the renowned Olly Masters, Olly has an extensive knowledge as a winemaker and viticulturist having worked throughout many wineries in New Zealand as well as Burgundy, France. For the past 15 years Olly has produced outstanding wine for Misha’s Vineyard and says that the key to their winemaking style is the vibrant fruit and the fresh cool climate which produces a fresh clean finish.
The wines crafted by Misha’s Vineyard come from their single vineyard site located on the edge of Lake Dunstan, in the Bendigo subregion of Central Otago. Their wine portfolio includes wine styles that anyone will love, whether it be the sweet ‘The Gallery Gewürztraminer’, the aromas of plum and dark chocolate from ‘The High Note Pinot Noir’ or ‘The Scarlet Sauvignon Blanc’ with its citrus and passionfruit notes.
