Smith & Sheth CRU

Smith & Sheth was created by Steve Smith MW and Brian Sheth in 2015. Over a glass of Chardonnay, they discussed their desire to establish a wine dream together. Steve Smith MW, is renowned for establishing Craggy Range and is one of only 15 Masters of wine based in New Zealand. Brian is an American investor and wildlife conservationist. Brian is from Texas (USA), but  he has a strong affiliation and love for New Zealand. 


Only the best grapes are hand selected from Smith & Sheth’s five vineyards, 4 from Hawke’s Bay and 1 in Marlborough. “Cru” was chosen as their collection name, as it is the term used to mean “vineyards of exceptional quality’. Their wine portfolio currently includes Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and red blend styles. Be sure to check out the CRU 2018 Omahu Cantera, a red blend that delivers a beautiful meld of spicy berry aromas with liquorice, sweet oak and vanilla. Perfect for drinking now or cellaring for the next 10 years.
