Domain Road Vineyard

Domain Road Vineyard is a family owned and operated vineyard in the Central Otago subregion of Bannockburn. Started in 2002 by owners Graeme & Gillian Crosbie, the original vineyard was planted with Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, & Riesling. In 2011, Graeme & Gillian purchased a second vineyard on the renowned Felton Road in Bannockburn and added Chardonnay and Pinot Gris to their portfolio of varietals. Total planting between the two vineyards is 14 hectares, 6.5 hectares in the original Domain Road vineyard and an additional 7.5 hectares in the Defiance vineyard.

In 2021, Graeme and Gillian’s son Steven came on board as the vineyard manager. Trained locally, Steven has traveled extensively and worked in Germany, Canada, and other regions within New Zealand. Steven is eager to finish the conversion of both Domain Road vineyards from sustainable managed to fully organic. The crafting of the Domain Road wines is in the capable hands of Pip Battley. Domain Road wines are made to reflect the vineyards from which they originate and are definitely worth seeking out whether you’re after a classic Central Otago Pinot Noir or a stunning Central Otago Chardonnay.
