Valli Vineyards

We mention Valli Vineyards in more detail in the Central Otago section, but it needs an extra section here. Grant Taylor, a true pioneer of the Central Otago wine region, despite making serious ground and respect for his wines in the area, has had the drive to produce a single-vineyard wine from Waitaki, out of his natural love for the area (he was born here) and also due to the fact he truly believes in the regions potential.

Grant’s Waitaki wines in the Valli portfolio, are definitely staff favourites for us here at The Winery. Particularly the recent cellar release, ‘Out of the Shadows’ from 2012, offering an incredible glimpse at how well these wines hold up to ageing. Still spicy, integrated old dried fruit flavours with layers of smoky decadence...it's certainly not one to miss.
